Review Disney Mickey Riding Pluto Wind Up Toy By Schylling / Schylling:Here is Mickey Mouse just as he was when it all started. This wind-up mechanical toy featuring Mickey playing with his favorite dog and best pal, Pluto, is based on one of hte most popular vintage Disney toys ever produced. Originally made in Japan in the 1930's of celluloid and tin, Pluto scampers around with Mickey bouncing on his back. With one simple mechanism animating this toy, it brings Mickey and Pluto to three dimensional life entertaining children and adults alike. Because of the extreme fragility of the celluloid material, very few of the original toys survive today. How wonderful that more than seventy years later, a young child can play with the very same toy that captivated his grandparents. This reproduction is made using modern materials and is child-sage.

Review Tub Wind-Ups: Elmo's Submarine:Bathtime can turn into an ocean adventure with Elmo and his plastic submarine zooming across the bathtub. Half of the 5-inch-high vessel submerges in water, while Elmo floats above the water wearing a snorkel and goggles. Wind the propeller and watch the ship move across the water and the periscope flicker from side to side. When tested, Elmo's submarine sped across the bathtub, making necessary turn adjustments when it hit the side of the tub. After the initial launch, part of the submarine filled with water, which caused it to slow down. However, this did not affect the interest level of the 9-month-old tester, who constantly reached for the exciting vessel with a favorite Sesame Street character aboard. -Lauren Bernard.
